Chemical peels help to diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and unevenness in skin tone caused by acne scarring or other pigmentary changes. At Ivy, we offer two different chemical peels, the SkinMedica Vitalize Peel ($125) and the Perfect Peel ($299). Skin Medica Vitalize peel is appropriate for mild to moderate skin imperfections, while the Perfect Peel is a moderate peel and has the added benefit of Glutathione. Benefits of Peel: Diminishes appearance of age spots/sun damage Reduces fine lines Even skin tone and hyperpigmentation Decreases pore Size Treats active acne ​​ Pre-Treatment Instructions: - Do not exfoliate your skin for 1 week before the appointment - Refrain from using makeup for a few days before your treatment - Avoid a suntan for one week prior to service - Stay hydrated on the day of the peel - Avoid any products that dry out your skin for 3 days prior to the appointment ​​ What to expect during treatment: During your appointment, our staff will explain the entire procedure and answer any questions you may have. The actual application of the peel takes approximately 20 minutes, but plan for a 30-minute appointment. Tolerance of the peel varies from person to person, however, tingling or burning sensations are a normal expected reaction. A fan may be used during the procedure to minimize the discomfort which typically resolves within a few minutes.​ What to expect After treatment: - Do not wash your face for 6 hours after the peel - Avoid strenuous exercise for 12 hours after, and no Hot Yoga for 5 days - Wait one week before having facial hair removal services - Take extra precautions against sun exposure - Your skin may feel dry and itchy - Peeling typically begins on days 2-5 and may last up to one week. DO NOT PICK OR PULL THE SKIN. Is it for me? Both of the peels we offer are appropriate for all skin types. While you will see results from one peel, we recommend 3-6 treatments spaced one month apart for maximum effect. If you have any active cold sores or warts, large open sounds, severe sunburn, or inflammatory rosacea in the area to be treated, please wait for these to heal before making an appointment. A peel should not be performed if you have an allergy to salicylates (aspirin) or if you are pregnant or nursing. Cancellation Policy

 Cancellation Policy At Ivy Aesthetics Med Spa, we want you to have the best outcome possible with each treatment you receive. We offer free consultations to new and existing clients to assess what treatments you are a candidate for. For all appointments that include a treatment, we require a credit card on file. Your credit card will not be charged for any reason except in the case there is a no-show or late cancellation. Please refer to our cancellation policy prior to reserving your appointment. Scheduling an appointment with us is your acceptance to this policy. Arrival Policy If you are a new client of Ivy Aesthetics Med Spa, we kindly ask you to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment to fill out the necessary new patient paperwork. If you are a returning client, we ask that you arrive on time for your appointment as we want you to get the most out of your appointment time. We will allow a 10-minutegrace period, but arrival after this time may be subject to a rebooking charge of $50, or your session may be abbreviated. Please understand that your appointment length cannot be extended if you are late. Cancellation Policy Your appointment is very important to Ivy Aesthetics Med Spa, as your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. We understand that sometimes schedule changes and adjustments are necessary, therefore, we respectfully request at least24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. You may reschedule or cancel your appointment online, via email, or by calling our main number at 952-900-6076.If you are unable to cancel yourappointmentwith24-hournotice, you may be subject to a $50 cancellation/rebooking fee. This includes rescheduling appointments and illness. Should you no-show your appointment, you will be subject to a $75 fee. Appointment Reminder Policy As a courtesy to our clientele, we will send you a confirmation email upon booking, as well as a reminder email before your appointment date. Please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times. This will avoid late arrivals, missed appointments, and possible cancellation fees.
